Acer 6930 Fairly Well-Equipped Laptop

The 6930 comes with an Intel T5800 processor clocked at 2 GHz, 3 GB of system memory, 320 GB HDD and is Bluetooth 2.0 EDR capable. Its graphics are powered by the Intel GMA 4500 chipset. The LCD panel of the 6930 has remained unchanged from 6920. It is still a 16.4-inch affair with a native resolution of 1366×768 and has retained its glossy finish along with its pleasing levels of brightness, color and contrast.
The 6930 is fairly well-equipped with regard to peripheral connectivity. It sports a dual-layer DVD writer, 4 USB slots, a VGA port, and the standard array of Ethernet and telephone jacks. The only thing missing was HDMI, which is surprising given the multimedia nature of the laptop. This may have been reserved for higher-end machines but we felt this was a misplaced move as the laptop has sufficient power to run HD movies without any issues and can easily be used as a decent entry-level home entertainment machine.

6930 gives 3 ½ hours of battery life. The 6930 is a good laptop, though it offers very little by way of an upgrade to its previous version, the 6920. At its pricing of Rs. 44,000 + taxes, the only advantage it has over competitors is its large screen with its 16:9 ratio and great battery life. It lags due to its expansive weight and rather large size. Keeping these factors in mind, we recommend this machine cautiously. There are some better offers to be had in this price range and we suggest you explore these fully before settling for this.
