Golden Globe winners: Biggest surprises


 

On the movie side of the Golden Globe Awards spectrum, Sunday night’s winners were not terribly surprising.

But the evening of film-and-television-show adulation that was Golden Globes 2012 did give us a a few semi-shockers. These were the five biggest. Vote in the poll below for the one you found most unexpected.
  • Idris Elba as best actor in a mini-series or TV movie
  • Meryl Streep as best actress
  • Kelsey Grammer as best actor in a drama
  • Matt LeBlanc as best actor in a comedy
  • Martin Scorsese as best director
The biggest Golden Globes 2012 surprise was:

  • The Kelsey Grammer win. - 17%

  • The Martin Scorsese win. - 2%
  • Actually, the only surprising thing is that anyone cares who wins a Golden Globe. - 22%
